I really miss some of those guys from back then................the good old days. My first comment was on 6/9/2008, about six months before yours. It was on a Murilee Martin post but I don’t remember about what. At that time, I thought Murilee was female and thought I’d be more comfortable commenting on her post. She was a saucy minx, wasn’t she?

You are indeed an old fart around here. I have no idea what my first post or comment was, and I’m not sure I really even want to know. The comment would have been from about 8 years ago, the post slightly more recent at maybe 6 year or so ago.
It was a different time; one of “connectedness ratings,” followed by stars and heartclicks. I remember having close to 1200 of those things by the time they did away with them, with Ash78 having even more than that.
Remember the Jezebel raids by Dearthair and handful of others?

I think that this is little more than the perverted result of an old-fashioned game of “telephone”, so to speak. It may well be that this person has an uncle that worked on the Volt program and is about to get laid off, but there are many other possible ways to interperate this.
